At Fab Lab Co., we take immense pride in the precision engineering, durability, and fitment of our 12V mounting solutions and custom brackets. Every product is manufactured and inspected to exact specifications.

Our policy complies fully with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. STANDARD OFF-THE-SHELF PRODUCTS (30-DAY RETURNS)

For standard catalog products (such as off-the-shelf single, double, or triple surface/flush mounts):

• Return Window: You have 30 days from the date of receiving your order to request a return or exchange.
• Condition: To be eligible, the item must be unused, in the same brand-new condition you received it, with no mounting scratches, drill marks, or modifications, and in its original packaging.
• Return Shipping: Buyers are responsible for paying their own return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or shipped in error.
• Change of Mind: We accept change-of-mind returns on standard items for store credit or refund, minus initial shipping charges.

2. CUSTOM BUILDS & APPROVED CAD DESIGNS

For custom-engineered brackets, "Build Your Way" orders, or panels manufactured following an AS1100 signed drawing approval:

• Engineering Sign-Off: Once you sign off on an AS1100 dimensional drawing prior to production, manufacturing begins. 
• Change of Mind: Because custom orders are manufactured specifically to your unique specifications, we do NOT accept returns or offer refunds for "change of mind" or incorrect measurements provided by the customer once design approval is given and manufacturing has commenced.
• Design Responsibility: Please carefully double-check all dimensions, cutout sizes, and plug clearances on your approval drawing before confirming your build.

3. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ITEMS (ACL GUARANTEE)

Under Australian Consumer Law, our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. 

• Major Defects & Manufacturing Errors: If an item arrives damaged, defective, or does not match the agreed AS1100 engineering drawing, you are entitled to a replacement or full refund.
• How to Report: Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If there is an issue, contact us within 7 days at jonah.hayward@fablabco.com.au with your order number and clear photos/videos of the issue.
• Resolution: If confirmed faulty, we will provide a pre-paid return shipping label and prioritize sending a corrected replacement or issuing a full refund promptly.

4. HOW TO START A RETURN OR CLAIM

To initiate a return or report a fitment issue:

1. Email us at jonah.hayward@fablabco.com.au with your Order Number and details.
2. If approved, we will provide the return shipping address and instructions.
3. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
